Got a call at 11 in the morning on 26th Sept 2013.

I only share my number with close mates and family, never with randoms.

Plus, I never download apps or anything on my phone, so there’s no way it’s tied to anything particular.

Today I got a call from this number, but I just let it ring for a couple of seconds and then ended it. I’ve now blocked it on my Samsung as a junk number. What was odd was that while it was ringing, the Tango app popped up over my usual phone screen. If you’ve got Tango or WhatsApp, did you know they actually collect and store all your contacts’ phone numbers on their servers? I only found that out after reading their terms and conditions properly, rather than clicking through without looking. Makes me wonder if these numbers get sold to those auto-dialling companies, which might explain why the mum mentioned above got called. Anyway, I’ve deleted Tango from my phone - I don’t trust it one bit, even if it’s probably just a coincidence.

This number called me earlier today, but they hung up just as I was about to pick up. I usually enjoy messing about with these types, especially when it’s some scouse lady who somehow knows me. Got a missed call from this number today around 4.15pm (on 19/09/13), didn’t pick up. They left a voicemail, but it’s for a phone I’m not using now and there’s no credit on it anyway. After reading all the complaints about this number, I don’t think I’ll bother calling back.

Got a call from these lot today at 12:58, totally uninvited. Wish they’d be made to do some real hard work, but that’s not really a thing anymore. These days, jail sentences are rare - probably because it costs too much - and when folks do get locked up, often the conditions are better than what many have to deal with outside anyway.

Seems clear now there’s zero regulation or consequences for these scammers. Why would they quit when there’s no real punishment? They’re just gonna keep on trying to swindle vulnerable people out of their cash.

Received a call from this number earlier today, they played a pre-recorded voice claiming I could get back thousands of pounds. I ended the call straight away. I had recently put my phone details in on EE's site for broadband, so I can’t help but think there might be a link. When I rang the number back, a person with an accent I couldn’t place answered saying something about “Africa calling…” which made me hang up right away!

This number keeps calling me nonstop and whenever I answer, there's nothing but silence then they just hang up. It rings on both my mobile and landline and its really annoying.
