Funny enough, I saw someone mention they got a call from this number claiming, “regarding your refund from Nat West.” I got a call on the same day and time, but it was about a refund from Barclays. Makes you wonder if these banks are leaking customer info to scammers or something, because how else would they know who you actually bank with? It definitely sounds more convincing that way, but luckily I didn’t fall for it. My dad, who’s 86, might’ve been another story though! I reckon once you press any buttons, it just racks up huge charges and you probably don’t get to talk to a person at all. I’m no expert, but seems like they’ve got some system that feeds data into a machine and rings out at 12:25 or something!

Today, this number rang me twice, but luckily I wasn’t able to pick up either time. That gave me the chance to look it up online - big thanks to everyone who’s shared info about these calls.
