Just the usual PPI nonsense. I pressed '5' and got an Indian chap on the line who introduced himself as from 'PPI Legion'. I told him I was baffled as to why they kept ringing me, and he promptly cut the call. On another occasion, someone actually showed up at my door wanting me to recall and fill out a ridiculous 12-page questionnaire for every bank or credit card I might claim against. When I inquired what service they actually provided for their hefty 30% plus VAT fee, considering I had to do all the legwork, they could barely provide a coherent reply. Honestly, if you're looking to make a claim, just do it yourself-these companies make you do all the graft while they take a massive chunk of any potential payout.

I’ve been using this app called Call Control, and honestly, it’s brilliant. You can put dodgy numbers on a blocklist and even find out who owns them. It also stops a lot of scam calls on its own. Definitely worth getting if you want less hassle from weird calls.

It’s +1 952 322 4497, from Minnesota, so they’re five hours behind us in the UK. Had a look at my recent calls and noticed a bunch of numbers all starting with 08438 - like 320145, 320122, and a few others from the last few months. If these pop up again, I might just say, “Hold on, I’m getting the right person for you,” and leave them waiting for a bit. I get very few calls on my mobile, maybe a couple a week, so messing with these nuisance callers is kinda my way of getting back. Sometimes I pretend not to understand what they’re saying, especially when their English is a bit dodgy - that seems to throw them off.
