I get called by this number a couple of times a week too. Recently, I just saved it on my phone under the contact name "Ignore". You can actually add a bunch of other annoying numbers to that same contact name, which makes life a bit easier.

Honestly, if you just hang up on these muppets, you’re missing a chance. Whenever one of 'em offers you to press 5 to chat with an "advisor", I say go all out and give them a proper mouthful before they cut you off. It’s fun to mess with their day, wastes their time, and since I started doing it, those dodgy calls have dropped off loads. And if it’s one of those dodgy Indian call centres pretending to be "Microsoft", shouting GHANDHU really seems to throw the scammers off.

I’m getting calls several times a week, and today I let the entire message finish before hitting 9 to unsubscribe from their calls. Hopefully, that’ll finally make them stop. It’s frustrating because why can’t Ofcom or whichever watchdog is meant to oversee these calls actually take action and fine these companies? They seem to be completely ignoring it, which makes me wonder what they’re doing with all the public money they’re paid.

I got a call from some people saying they were offering a free service related to the PPI mis-selling issue. They told me the call was free and claimed to be working alongside banks. They assured me they didn’t need any bank details or account numbers. They called me first, and when I asked who they were, they asked if I’d recently had a mortgage and with which bank, plus if I had a credit card. After that, they put me through to a senior person. I told them I was at work and about to go into a meeting, so they said they’d ring me back. Now their number is saved as SPAM in my contacts. Their initial chat lasted about 6 minutes.

I've gotten calls from this number a few times now. I always make sure not to pick up when I'm behind the wheel! Proper nuisance they are. Wish I could give them a bit of a hard time for it.

Got a recorded message saying:

"You have a refund waiting in your account"

They say they’re from "your bank", but it’s just a trick to get you to ring them back. The number starts with 084..., which means you’ll be charged extra, possibly over £2 a minute. Don’t ring them back!!!
