I received a voicemail that concluded with the somewhat amusing instruction, “Press 9 to exit the messages.” Naturally, we chose not to take that option!

Similar to before, I receive 1-3 phone calls every week from this particular number. Recently, I decided to save the number in my phone and label it as "Ignore". In fact, you can assign multiple other numbers to the same "Ignore" designation.

I receive daily phone calls from this particular number, but they never leave a voicemail if I don't answer. However, when I did answer at times, it was evident that they were attempting to scam me. Due to this continuous annoyance, I have chosen not to answer anymore. It appears that a company has unethically sold my personal information without my consent, and once I discover their identity, I will take legal action against them.

They believe it is crucial to call, even at inconvenient moments, yet never consider it important enough to leave a message.

It is unfortunate to engage in disrespectful behavior towards individuals involved in nuisance calls. Instead of resorting to insults and abuse, it would be better to handle these situations responsibly. When given the opportunity to speak with an advisor by pressing 5, it is advisable to calmly express your concerns and request to be removed from their calling list. This will not only minimize their impact but also safeguard your time and well-being. In the case of Indian "Microsoft" call centres, it is best to share any relevant information regarding any potential scams or fraudulent activity with the appropriate authorities who can take necessary action. Remember, treating others with respect promotes a more positive environment for everyone involved.

Automated scam message regarding PPI
13 years
I receive several phone calls every week, and today I decided to listen to the entire message and press 9 in the hopes of stopping these calls. It is frustrating that organizations such as Ofcom or watchdogs, who are responsible for monitoring these types of calls, do not take action to fine or prevent them. It feels like they are not fulfilling their duty and wasting the money they receive from taxpayers who fund their substantial salaries.

Pests: I had a conversation with them myself. I asked the guy if he could speak English, and he confirmed that he could. In response, I politely told him two words he would surely comprehend: "please, leave." The person causing the disturbance suddenly became silent. A rather satisfying outcome, indeed.

These individuals confidently stated that their service is free for PPI mis-selling cases, and assured me that their call wouldn't cost anything. They claimed to have partnerships with banks and insisted they didn't require any account details. I received an initial contact from them, and following my inquiries about their identity, they reciprocated by asking if I had recently taken out a mortgage or owned a credit card. Afterward, they transferred me to a more experienced staff member. However, I informed them that I was busy with work and needed to attend a meeting. They agreed to call me back later. Since then, I have labeled them as spam in my contacts list. The entire conversation lasted approximately 6 minutes.
