With an iPhone, you dont need to add numbers to your contacts as mentioned earlier. Just open the recent calls, tap the small ‘i’ inside the circle by the number, scroll and hit ‘Block Caller’. The annoying part is that even then they can leave you a voicemail. There really should be an option to reject the call outright so it doesn’t get sent to voicemail at all.

@ Sammy, if you want to block someone on your iPhone5, go to your recent calls and tap the little i next to the number. Then just scroll down a bit and you'll see the option to block the caller. I just did that to stop these guys!

Honestly, the firm dealing out your number ought to face some serious legal trouble or at least a hefty fine. First off, they don't even own the numbers to be selling them off.
