They keep calling nonstop, and when I pick up, it's often just silence. The other day, a woman said, "I'm calling about an accident." I immediately asked, "Wait, do you mean someone’s been hurt? Is this from the police? Or are you talking about some sort of compensation for an accident I don't remember?" She then said, "Oh, so you haven't actually been in an accident?" Honestly, the way they phrase it right away can be really upsetting, especially for someone who's worried or vulnerable. Absolute scumbags.

They called me and actually said my real name, claiming to be from Confused[###]. I thought it was legit since I had just dealt with Confused[###] and a few others the previous evening to renew my car insurance. They simply thanked me for choosing their service and then the call ended.

I chose to pick up since they call me roughly twice a day. They asked for info on all my credit cards and loans, plus my email so they could send it to their legal department. The guy got really annoyed when I started asking about the company and why I couldn’t find anything about them online (he said it was Refund Team Limited, from Swansea, South Wales). I got an automated call telling me it was my last chance to claim PPI back. It said to press 5 to talk to someone, or press 9 to stop getting calls. I chose 5 because I wanted to find out who was calling me and where from, since I don’t remember ever having PPI. I wanted to understand why they thought I did. The call connected to a centre and a person said I had reached their refund team. I asked specifically which company’s refund team I was talking to, but they didn’t seem to know and just ended the call. Bit annoying really, I just wanted to see who was behind this “final” chance to claim my money.

Just had a call from this number too, but they dropped as soon as I picked up. Pretty irritating, but what’s worse is they were ringing my brand new number. It’s only been active for a few weeks!

PPI again, just the usual nonsense, sending out a mass phishing scam hoping to snag anyone who might find their 'service' okay or handy. Don’t be fooled; if you reckon you might be due a PPI payout, look into sorting it on your own without paying a penny. MoneySavingExpert[###] is a great site for info, just search for it on bing, google, or whichever search engine you prefer.
