Even though I put those numbers on my phone’s block list, they somehow still ring through. It’s really annoying and I want to find out who’s behind them. But if you think about ringing back, just be careful. Numbers starting with 0843 or 0844 can cost you a fair bit. Landline calls can set you back anywhere from 1p up to 13p per minute, plus an extra connection fee. On mobiles, it’s even worse - calls can be between 5p and 41p a minute, depending on your network and the exact number. So honestly, best not to call them back at all.

I've recently been getting missed calls from this number and I'm baffled where they found my contact! I got this PAYG Nokia SIM from Vodafone through Argos around mid May, just as a spare phone, barely used it - maybe a few calls to family and mates, and definitely nothing in the last few months. Junk call alert. I got a voicemail from these lot, but the start of the message was cut off since the automated voice kicks in right away once the call connects. It seemed to be about clearing unsecured debts or something along those lines. The robotic voice annoyed me quite a bit - sounded kinda like that chap who announces the National Lottery numbers. Not sure who it was exactly.
