Got a call at about 5:30pm on 07/01/2015 from someone claiming to be from a government credit bureau! They knew my full name and phone number but didn’t have my address, which I guess they were trying to get to complete their scam. They kept going on about some “new government plan to clear your debts” which was total rubbish. I played along for around twenty minutes until they got nasty and hung up on me. But it didn’t stop there... they called back and started shouting abuse about my family. Absolutely disgraceful! I’m definitely reporting this to the police.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, saying there was a problem with my PC. He asked me to turn it on, which I didn’t bother with. When he asked what was on the screen, I said a lovely sunrise picture. Then he asked if I could see something in the corner - I said yes. When he asked what it was, I said my coffee mug. I even asked him if he preferred tea or coffee, and he just said I was wasting his time before hanging up. The whole call, with my computer still off, lasted nearly 10 minutes. Guess I need to be more convincing next time!
