In just an hour, this number rang me thrice. Every time I picked up, some automated message popped up saying they’d ring again soon. Pretty clear to me it’s a dodgy scam call.

Just had a couple of calls from a bloke who says his name is Frank and claims to be from Yorkpress. Seems like he's trying to scam folks around here in York. I've already had two calls today from him. I've let York Press know about it, hoping they'll investigate and maybe put something in the newspaper to warn others.

Got a couple of calls from this number earlier today. I finally picked up, and some bloke was asking if I bought the Daily Echo Dorset and if I wanted to take out a subscription - seemed dodgy, just a way to rip you off. Told him I’m not interested since I get my news online. Then he kept pressing for my last name and house number but I didn’t give anything away. I’ve seen loads of people saying the same about this number, pretending to be from places like Lancashire or Wigan. Total scam, don’t bother ringing back either - it’s a weird number and probably costs loads. Fingers crossed I don’t get stung for answering, he went on and on for ages.

I just let the phone ring out every time they call, never picking up.

When I called back, it just ended the call straight away. I tried 1471 to see who was ringing but no luck getting through. Then I dialled the number it gave me and all I got was some recorded message saying the number wasn't known or recognised. Proper frustrating!

Got a call from a woman with a Northern accent asking if I buy the "Evening Post" and if I'd be up for doing a quick survey. After a few questions, she asked if I might be interested in subscribing to a discounted postal delivery for the "Evening Post".

I got calls from this number like six times all in one night and they just wouldn’t stop even after I ignored them. Proper annoying and really felt like harassment.

i got a call from this number and they started giving me an address and postcode that wasn’t mine at all, i told them it was wrong and they just hung up.
then the same number rang me twice more but there was just silence before it cut off. when i tried ringing back, it said the number wasn’t available.
