I rang them to check on some stock, but no one picked up, yet they still took 55p from me for a call that lasted like 4 seconds. Happened twice as well. Really annoying.

I rang Ali just to check if they were open, but an automated message came on saying they couldn’t take any calls. I got charged 47p for the call! Didn’t realise at first and ended up calling a few more times. Proper sneaky way to charge people, watch out for this.

I was in a right panic trying to figure out if I forgot my debit card at the shop and ended up calling their phone. Later, when I saw my bill, I was gobsmacked at how much they charged me for that call - it’s unbelievable! I’ll be switching over to Lidl, for sure, because I’m not into these dodgy tricks at all. People really need to be told about this! 😤

I rang Aldi twice to check if a particular item was in stock at one of their branches. One call lasted just over a minute, the other about four and a half minutes, but I got billed £3.61, which is more than the product actually costs! I’m really shocked that a big company like that is using a premium rate number without telling anyone. I tried reaching out to Aldi about it but never got any response. There’s a Lidl right beside our Aldi anyway, so I reckon I’ll stick to shopping there from now on.

I got charged £2.53 just for a quick couple of minutes on the phone - ridiculous! All I was trying to find out was if the shop had that £1.79 bag of compost. Couldn’t get through to the actual local store, so had to go through this helpline instead. Honestly, try to avoid it if you can.

Beware, this is nothing but a con! They've used the number that's supposedly for the Aldi store in Slaithwaite, but in reality, it’s a premium rate line that simply forwards you to their Freephone number. You’ll find yourself being charged approximately 60 pence a minute for the privilege.
