Some time ago, we received a call from this number, and it felt very much like an automated recording. Unfortunately, the specifics escape me, but it had a ring of something akin to HDFC. It was all about, "Claim your refund before Christmas," or some such nonsense. We decided it was best to hang up.

Today, I received three calls from this number. An automated voice, speaking in a rather posh Middle England accent, informed us that several companies are required to lower their credit card fees. It suggested that if we wished to find out if we'd qualify, we simply needed to press 5. We did give it a go but soon hung up when we were greeted with hold music. How cheeky! I can’t help but wonder how much that single button press will cost us on our next phone bill!

It seems I received a call that was just an automated message. Quite frustrating, really!

I dashed down the stairs to answer the phone, only to find that the answering machine was on. These callers just hung up. If it's important enough to ring us, then it's definitely important enough to leave a message. If they're not willing to do that, they shouldn't bother calling at all. We can easily return the call if and when we're interested, but a message would certainly help. It's so frustrating!
