Got a call at 19:14 today. I never pick up numbers I don't recognise, instead I always google them straight away to see who's calling. After reading the reviews here, especially about those comparison sites - which I recently used for car insurance - I’ve done what I always do and saved the number as “scam 19”. That way if they ring back, I’ll know. Honestly, if it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail and you can call back if you want. I just don’t get why some folks answer unknown calls, surely you’ve already got your mates and family saved in your phone?

Got a call today from someone saying I'd been in a car crash - which is total rubbish. They wanted me to make a claim or something. It’s mad how they get hold of your number. The caller said they were from a firm called road traffic surveys. They mentioned I'd been involved in a recent accident, which is correct, but they never once said my partner had died in it. Even after I told them, they kept asking if I'd got any compensation and if I'd want to claim.
