We answered the phone and discovered it was from this number. A young lady proceeded to leave a voicemail peddling something and mentioned to hit '9' if we wished to be removed from their records. However, we didn't take any action on that!

I've received calls from this number several times throughout the week. Each time, it’s been a recorded message claiming to be from a PPI helpline, attempting to assist with refunds for mis-sold PPI policies. They keep urging us to press three to finish their survey. I simply hung up. Seems like a dodgy scam to me.

Following a review of our online billing with our telephone provider, we noticed charges related to calls from the number 08433296415 on the 15th and 16th of June 2011. The statement shows these as CLI recall & Service G24 rate on the 15th and CLI recall & Service Fixed Fee FF29 on the 16th. Since we have an answerphone, we can only assume these charges have arisen due to that, as we certainly do not make calls to any 08 numbers using our landline. During the times these calls were supposedly made, we were actually at work, which feels incredibly unjust - we shouldn't be liable for these costs!
