The Citizens Advice Bureau truly are brilliant to reach out to. Although it might take a couple of days to have a word with them, it’s well worth the wait. If the firm gets in touch again, just tell them outright that you’re letting CAB handle the matter, and that they’ve advised you to refrain from any direct communication with them. Remain composed and courteous, and they’ll realize there’s little they can do. Once CAB is involved, they know their options are quite limited. Nonetheless, they might try to intimidate you by claiming there’s nothing they can do. Don’t be fooled by their tactics!

I've been bombarded by calls from a company called 1st Credit, they ring me about half a dozen times daily! They even bombard my mobile with messages. Honestly, whatever you do, don’t share your mobile number with a credit card company, especially if you're ever in a tight spot and find it hard to keep up with payments. These so-called debt collectors are nothing but a nuisance.

This company incessantly rings us, chasing after our former acquaintance who has a debt with them. Despite having provided them with all her updated contact details, they refuse to cease their calls. To make matters worse, they're using yet another number, which I’ve previously reported here. Honestly, it’s becoming intolerable. The calls start with a pre-recorded message, which has driven us to just hang up most times. We're close to unleashing a verbal onslaught on a live person if this carries on!

What a bunch of muppets! Just before Christmas, they dangled the bait of a 42" Plasma TV in front of us if we settled our debt. Naturally, we thought we'd ask for the TV first. But guess what? They completely shot us down! Honestly, some folks are utterly untrustworthy. My advice? Just give them a wide berth. What on earth can they really do anyway?

I’ve just received a call from this number, and it was a recorded message asking for someone named "Mark Whistler," a name that rings no bells for me whatsoever. I promptly hung up. When I picked up the phone again, the same automated voice was at it again. I've now blocked this caller using BT's "Choose to Refuse" feature. We might have blocked this number previously, but after clearing out our blocked contacts to tidy up the directory, I thought I’d start fresh. Turns out, this was the first number in my new list of ten.

It seems these individuals have been trying to get in touch with someone we used to share a residence with. I had a minor debt at one point, but I thought everything had been settled since I've not had any correspondence from debt collectors in the last three years. Now, it’s concerning that my old flatmate is getting these calls, as it raises the possibility of them attempting to impose three years’ worth of interest on me. We haven’t engaged with them yet, as I’m reluctant to disclose my address to these callers.

This company has reached out to our daughter, asking her for her banking information. Thankfully, she firmly replied that there was no way she would share such details, and she wondered how on earth they managed to obtain her details to begin with. They just abruptly ended the call! It’s baffling - if they were a legitimate organisation, surely they would provide such requests in a more professional manner, perhaps in writing!
