yesterday i got a text saying it was from barclays asking if i made a payment of £890.00. it had some weird code like datea guyI###li or something. it told me to ring 0843 2897700 straight away for a refund. its definitely a scam, dont bother calling them!

Just got a call like this first thing this morning. Tried logging into my online banking but it said the service was down. I rang Barclays to check and they told me it’s a scam, but they couldn’t look into my account because their system was being updated. It made me think the update might be because they got hacked, and these dodgy texts are linked. Definitely don’t ring the number they’ve given in the message.

Got a txt from this number sayin money was taken from my Barclays account and to ring them back. Put me on hold forever and then they took money right off my phone credit.

Just got a dodgy text pretending to be Barclays bank, looks like a total scam to me. Be careful, don't click any links or give out your info. So annoying how these scammers keep trying!
