I had a rather peculiar phone call the other day. The person on the other end claimed that I was overpaying my Council Tax for my property and insisted that if evidence was provided, I could potentially reclaim payments dating back to 1996. They tried to coax me into paying £79 upfront; however, when I declined to share my bank information over the phone, they abruptly said they'd let it be and hung up without any further insistence. Quite an odd encounter, if you ask me!
