Got called twice from this number today. The first call just cut off. The second time, a woman named Lis told me it was the telephone preference service. They messed up my postcode and tried to get my card info to block calls. They called me from 01554756724. When I asked if I could call them back, she gave me a different number, 08432890963. Nope, definitely not giving out my credit card over the phone!

Yesterday, my mum got a call from some marketing firm after I’d emailed a company called Nuisance Call Registry to check if her phone was protected against nuisance calls. Nowhere did they mention any fees! Somehow, this marketing lot convinced her to hand over her debit card details for a lifetime service that’ll set you back £42.42. Are they just targeting vulnerable old people who might not fully understand? Watch out - even if they claim to block nuisance calls, it’s a scam... they should talk to the person making the enquiry first, not just ring up some elderly person who might be easy to fool!
