Yet another nuisance call! They seem to be coming through daily, albeit from various numbers. Today, I got one from 0843280 0896. An Asian-sounding individual on the line claimed to represent a company called Payment Shield based in Birmingham. I can’t really validate this, though my instincts tell me it’s likely a scam. Earlier, I received a call from 0843 299 2642, which turned out to be bogus as well. The caller hung up on me quite abruptly. It's becoming rather tiresome, to say the least!

In just a mere five seconds, I received three calls from this number. Each one was nothing more than a pre-recorded sales message, and it's such a waste of both my time and money!

O-Bit Telecoms are undoubtedly complicit in this wrongdoing, acting as willing enablers. They’re fully aware of the illicit gains they’re pocketing yet choose to turn a blind eye to the situation. It's simply outrageous to consider them blameless - far from it! If their customers were as savvy as they should be, they’d quickly pass along the details of the company that’s been ringing me with those annoying silent calls or just hang up on them altogether.

Received a pre-recorded message claiming to be from Lloyds TSB, attempting to peddle home insurance. It instructed us to hit five for a chat with an operator and nine if we wished to be removed from their calling list. I'm rather anxious that by pressing nine, it might have signalled to them that our number is active, and now we could be inundated with unsolicited calls!

I got in touch with O-bit through the number 08008 49 49 49 (Extension 1). They informed me that there’s an ongoing investigation concerning this number, as they merely pass it on to firms that resemble BT. The caller ID came up as 3G, but I have my doubts about its legitimacy, similar to the situation with PaymentShield. Seems rather dubious, if you ask me!

Just to clarify something we mentioned in a previous comment, O-bit is actually a provider of phone numbers and not the actual company behind the calls. I realise I may have omitted a crucial term in the last message!

I received a call with a pre-recorded message, but curiously, there wasn't a single mention of who the actual company was. They made some references to Lloyds TSB and insurance, but clearly, they’re not trying to represent them. Very odd indeed!
