I didn’t pick up, but it’s pretty clear it was just a spammer calling.

This number 0843263217 did the same thing to me. I picked up and it just cut off straight away. When I tried ringing back, it only made one beep before it dropped the call. Really strange!

Beware of these dodgy calls where they want you to press a button, probably to make you pay for being put through, or sometimes they're hoping you ring them back on a premium rate number. This happened on a brand new phone and a fresh number too, which makes me wonder how they even have it since I only gave it to Amazon for their text alerts. Honestly, it’s not just this lot - loads of companies like Facebook and Google share your info these days. They’ll say you’ve won a grand or an iPad, but the best thing is to just ignore it or hang up straight away.
