So, this number belongs to some Debt Collection folks called Clean Slate Financial Ltd from London. Weirdly, I couldn’t find their website anywhere. There’s another business with a pretty similar name that’s getting slammed by angry folks complaining about being hassled. You won’t really see this exact company online much, but if you check Yell.com, they pop up there.

This 0843 number kept ringing me like six times today. I only noticed the missed calls now because I keep my phone on silent while I'm working. I haven't phoned them back, just looked up the code online and found out it’s a spam call. So, I went ahead and blocked the number. It’s really irritating and disrespectful to keep bugging people nonstop. Companies like this really ought to be shut down, it’s not on at all.

In the last week or so, I’ve had this happen a couple of times - calls from numbers I don’t recognise, mostly dodgy sales attempts or probably scammers trying their luck. I just block them straight away. Honestly, I hate to think about how much bother this must be for older or more vulnerable folks who might not know better. Best thing you can do is just ignore and not engage.

Got a call on my phone from a number I looked up, and it turns out it’s some finance company called Clean Slate. Tried ringing them back but be warned, if you do, the charges could be anything from 1p up to 13p per minute on landlines, with an extra connection fee on top. Mobiles aren’t cheap either; you might get billed anywhere between 5p and 41p a minute depending on your network and the number dialed. Just something to keep in mind before returning their call.
