I got called by this annoying person who tries to squeeze money out of you. If you don't pick up, they still hit you with charges regardless. Proper scam, watch out!

Got a call from a number I didn’t know and didn’t pick up, but somehow they still charged me an outrageous fee! This kind of thing really feels like extortion and honestly should be tracked down and dealt with by the authorities as a criminal offence.

i just noticed a £4.05 charge for a 6-minute call to this number, but there’s no way I made that call!

So, I got a call from a "private number" and picked up. The person wanted to talk to me, but when I asked who they were, they just cut off. Later, I looked at my phone bill and saw a £3.75 fee for a 7-minute call to that same number, which I never dialled myself, and it happened right after I took the incoming call. Quite strange!
