We stumbled across your message and recognised that we’ve ended up in the same predicament. Regrettably, they’ve managed to take our money as well, and we’re now at a point where cancelling seems impossible. We’re in the process of contesting the charge with our credit card provider. What’s particularly frustrating is that they failed to mention the obligatory timeshare meeting they expect you to attend 90 times upon arrival for your holiday. This was buried deep in the terms and conditions that came with their paperwork. It’s infuriating to think we’ve fallen victim to such a scheme.

A woman rang up our elderly mother-in-law, clearly knowing about her recent holiday. She tried to entice her with a deal for a cruise for two in the Caribbean for £598, but there was a catch-they'd have to pay upfront, although they could book it any time over the next five years. The caller wasn’t supposed to contact me first before processing anything. Thankfully, my mother-in-law let me know right away, and I was able to get her card cancelled just in time. When we tried to ring the number back, it was utterly silent!
