Some bloke with a funny accent rang me claiming he was from the Telephone Preference Service, saying they'd stop all the annoying calls from today onwards. I told him I’d been registered with TPS for ages already, then he asked me to verify my address - that’s when I just ended the call. I’d already gotten a call like this from 02506520032, which apparently is flagged as a scam number too.

So, I'm only 14 and just about an hour ago, I got a call from some bloke who started saying disgusting stuff like he wanted to fart right in my face and put his "dick" in my mum’s mouth. Proper nasty. He also claimed to be from some call blocking company, which makes it even more dodgy.

Just like others here, I got a phone call from a man with a foreign accent claiming he worked for some call blocking company. He told me my name and phone number, which he probably found on a public list. Then he started asking for my debit card info. Lucky for me, I didn't fall for it.

I got a call from a guy with a weird accent claiming he was from the Telephone Preference Service, saying that starting today I wouldn’t get any more annoying calls. I told him I’ve actually been signed up with TPS for years, then he wanted me to verify my address. That’s when I just hung up on him. Funny thing is, I’ve had a call like this before from 02506520032, which others have marked as a scam too.

This number has rung me a few times today, I kept ignoring it till the answerphone took it and then they just dropped the call. TPS hardly works, they only block calls from UK numbers and this one isn’t even from the UK.

These lot are bloody daft... Nowadays I pretend to be thick just to mess with them. Sometimes I'll put them on hold for ages, like 10 minutes, just so I can whip up a cuppa! ;-)

Some bloke with a foreign accent called claiming he was from TPS, asking if I’d been getting any dodgy calls lately. He even knew my husband’s full name and where we live. Then he started asking for my debit card’s expiry date. I didn’t give him anything else and just ended the call.

At around 9:28 in the morning, my mum had a ring from this number but didn’t pick up. Then, at 10:10am, it called back and some bloke with an African accent started singing something about coming to get her and cutting her up! It was proper disgusting. This site here helped me block the number straight away. It really shook my mum up, she was terrified.

Got a call on the morning of 29/06/16 around 10.45 am from a lady with an Asian accent. She said something like, "Good morning, madam, this is Call Preferential service, do you often get cold calls on your number?" I said no, and then she just went silent, with loads of noise from the background. I ended the call quickly. Just a heads up: since I'm signed up with the FREE TPS, I don’t get these annoying cold calls! Watch out for these fraudsters. Best thing is to just say NO and hang up straight away!

I got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he was from TPS, saying he needed to update their system to stop me getting any more junk calls. Then he tried pushing me for my direct debit info, so I just ended the call there. My elderly mum, who’s 83, got a call from this number earlier. It was obviously a scam trying to pinch her credit card info. The people on the other end said they were checking phone preference settings for BT, TalkTalk, and Sky, but it was all rubbish. They asked for her card’s expiry date, which made her hang up straight away and call me right after. I’m always warning her not to chat with those random callers, but they just won’t give up. Such a nuisance!

Someone called me from this number, said his name was Brian and was trying to offer some new phone preference thing. His English wasn’t great, so I asked if he could understand Welsh in my halting way. He said no, but I kept yapping in Welsh anyway, and pretty soon the line went dead with this long beep noise. Hopefully he won’t bother ringing again.

This number rang me up saying my TPS subscription was due to expire and offered to renew it for me. I played along at first, and they asked me to verify my name, old address and postcode, then they wanted the expiry date on my Visa card. I asked which one since I’ve got a few, and they said any card would do. When I questioned why they needed those details for a TPS renewal, they claimed it was just to confirm my identity and insisted they wouldn’t ask for full card info. I made up some details, but then they asked for the long number in the middle of the card. They said it’s not the credit card number, just a verification code. I explained that my credit card info is actually my account number and sort code, and they wouldn’t ask for that. At that point, I called them out on trying to steal my card info - name, address, postcode, expiry date, name on the card, and the card number - all just to renew something I could’ve done myself online. They hung up straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming they could sign me up to a new phone preference scheme that would stop all cold calls, scams, PPI offers forever! I humoured them for a bit, but then they mentioned my late husband’s name, my area code, and even the expiry date on my card. When I asked how they had all that info, they just said it was already on file. Then they put me through to a "manager" who started asking for more card details. As soon as I said I wasn’t giving that over the phone, the call was cut off straight away! Sketchy much? Just a warning to be careful out there.

Had this bloke, Asian lad called John or summat, ringing about some call blocker thing. He was quite all over the place, not making much sense, just yammering on about how I’m still getting loads of nuisance calls. Told him he was the third one today and to just buzz off.
