They called me and said they knew my address, also told me "you" won't hunt "us" down. It was pretty menacing. Better just ignore these calls, honestly.

This number kept ringing me with some scam about a loan I supposedly took out in 2005 and repaid by 2009 - none of it true at all. They somehow had my full name and address, then said they'd send me a copy of the contract I supposedly signed, but needed me to confirm which bank I’d used. I pretended to go along with it for a bit and eventually got handed over to a “manager”. She asked me to verify everything once more before she said she’d connect me to their Dispatch Team to send the documents out. She even suggested a bank and told me to jot down the info we’d just agreed on so I’d sound confident when talking to the next person. After wasting about 10 minutes messing around, I just ended the call. They did try ringing me back soon after, but I ignored it.

I just got a call from this number. When I asked where they got my number from, the person immediately asked if I was registered on the TPS. I said yes, and then they just hung up on me. Tried to block the number afterwards, but it said it was invalid. Pretty strange!

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from Halifax bank. He told me I had £2000 coming back from a loan dated 2005. I was like, “Are you serious?” He insisted it was PPI money. I told him I’d already claimed all my PPI refunds, so that was a bit odd. Then he just hung up, no rude words or anything!

this guy calls all the time looking for my partners ex, but when i say she doesn't live here he just ends the call. sounds like an asian bloke, and it’s not the first time he’s rung. the odd thing is, when i offer to take a message, he suddenly drops the phone. really weird behaviour.

Got called again after just a couple of days, and honestly, it was quite entertaining. Both times, it was blokes with Asian accents pretending to have very proper English names. They launched into their usual spiel, but I kept cutting in with silly questions. Each time they twigged I was having a laugh and hung up straight away! Would love for them to try again, at least I haven’t been told to get lost yet like others have... Keeping me amused in my dull days, these scammy muppets!

Got a call from someone yesterday and they started by asking how I was doing. I tried to find out who they wanted to talk to, but instead they began asking about my family. I repeated my question about who they wanted to speak to, but then they went on to ask how my kid was, which felt really odd since I’m a pensioner. I just ended the call after that.

Got a call about a PPI claim for £1868 at 5:44pm on 07/07/2015. I asked for some extra info, but then the person just ended the call.

The person on the other end actually knew my name and postcode, which was a bit unsettling. He said his name was Sam and began with the usual chit chat of “how’s your day been?” After that, he launched into his usual spiel. I had put my phone on speaker and just let it ring out while hearing him talk. When he asked me a question and I stayed quiet, he suddenly exploded into a whole load of insults. It was along the lines of “Are you even listening, you [***] [***]? Are you deaf, dumb, or something? You’re an absolute [***].” It really caught me off guard. I got a call asking for my husband and when I said it wasn't him and asked what the call was about, the person on the other end started being rude. Such a strange and unpleasant experience.

Got a call from this number claiming they sorted out some PPI refund for me from an old bank loan. The guy on the line sounded Dutch and gave his name as Ben Morgan. He told me I wouldn't need to pay a penny unless I was completely satisfied and just asked me to confirm which bank I’d borrowed from. He was polite enough but got quite annoyed when I refused to share any personal info over the phone. Definitely a dodgy call! BE CAREFUL!

Got a phone call from this number, some guy saying he was Ben Morgan talking about PPI claims. He had a bit of a Dutch accent, which caught me off guard. He asked if I’d had any past loans and kept pressing me to say which company they were with. I stayed calm and polite but could tell he wasn’t pleased when I wouldn’t share any info over the phone.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who gave me a name, but I couldn’t remember exactly what it was. I asked him which company he was from, and he said something like Summit, related to PPI. When I enquired where he got my info, he claimed it was from Barclays bank, which I immediately knew couldn’t be true since banks don’t share their clients’ details. He said they got my info just last month, and that’s when I realised it was a scam. I stayed calm and asked them to take my number off their list and never call me again.

A chap rang me today, claiming he needed our details to process a refund for an overpayment. We told him in no uncertain terms where he could shove it! The audacity of these numpties is astounding!
