I got a call but all I could hear was some messed up static and weird noises, like maybe it was some alien talk or something. Couldn't really catch any clear words though.

I just received a rather annoying call from some foreign blokes trying to pull a fast one. They claimed I’d applied for a loan, which is utterly untrue. I informed them that I hadn’t made such an application, and wouldn’t you know it, the daft numpty just hung up on me! What a bunch of plonkers!

I've been inundated with multiple calls from this number-it's like a never-ending barrage of ringing!

Utterly dreadful individuals, employing bullying tactics and deceitful practices, masquerading as legitimate claim agents. They resort to threats when you refuse to engage with their blatantly nonsensical PPI claims. It's as if they think people will swallow their nonsensical spiel!

What’s with the silence? Can’t they just drop a message instead?

I received a rather unsettling phone call where the person claimed they were aware of my address and ominously remarked that "you" wouldn't be able to track down "us." The menace was unmistakable.
I strongly advise steering clear of such calls.

Received a dodgy call from this number, claiming I took out a loan way back in 2005 and miraculously repaid it in 2009, which is utterly false. They had all my details-my name, address, the lot-and insisted they would send a copy of some supposed agreement I had signed, but only if I confirmed which bank I’d used. I entertained them for quite a bit, eventually being passed on to a "Manager." This person wanted me to verify everything yet again to hand me over to their Despatch Team for the paperwork. She even suggested a bank for me to note down, insisting it would help me in my responses when I spoke to the Despatcher. After wasting a good 10 minutes of their time, I chose to hang up. They tried calling back, but I simply ignored it.

I just received a call from this number. When I inquired about how they obtained my contact details, the bloke on the other end wanted to know if I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I confirmed that I was, and then he abruptly ended the call. I attempted to block the number, but bizarrely, it appears to be an invalid one.

A rather pleasant chap with a foreign accent called me, claiming to be from Halifax bank. He informed me that there was a delightful sum of £2000 owed to me from a loan dating back to 2005. I was a bit taken aback and replied with, "Is that so?" He assured me it was related to PPI. I chuckled and mentioned that I’d already received all the PPI I was entitled to. Then, quite unexpectedly, he just ended the call - no nasty language, though!

this guy calls all the time looking for my partners ex, but when i say she doesn't live here he just ends the call. sounds like an asian bloke, and it’s not the first time he’s rung. the odd thing is, when i offer to take a message, he suddenly drops the phone. really weird behaviour.

Received my second call in a mere two days, and what a delightful ordeal it was! Both callers were gents sporting Asian accents yet adopting very British-sounding names. They began with their rehearsed spiel, but I couldn’t resist chiming in with some cheeky questions that threw them off. Each time, as soon as they twigged that I was having a laugh at their expense, they promptly disconnected. Do come back, fellas-unlike some poor souls, I haven’t been met with insults yet… Your call would certainly liven up my dreary day:))) Utterly ridiculous scammers!

Got a call from someone yesterday and they started by asking how I was doing. I tried to find out who they wanted to talk to, but instead they began asking about my family. I repeated my question about who they wanted to speak to, but then they went on to ask how my kid was, which felt really odd since I’m a pensioner. I just ended the call after that.

I received a rather unsettling call from someone who seemed to know my name and postcode. He introduced himself as Sam, starting off with the usual pleasantries like "How’s your day going?" However, it quickly turned into a scripted spiel. I decided to put the phone on speaker mode to hear better while I multitasked. To my shock, when I didn’t answer one of his questions, he unleashed a torrent of foul-mouthed insults. He raged on with phrases like, “Are you even listening, you [***]? Are you [***] deaf, dumb, and [***]? You absolute [***],” and the abuse just kept coming. I've made sure to report the incident and I encourage everyone else who receives such calls to do the same at: https://ico.org.uk/concerns/marketing/22/

I received a call from this number claiming they had successfully reclaimed PPI for me linked to an old bank loan. The individual on the line had a distinct Dutch accent and introduced himself as Ben Morgan. He mentioned that I wouldn’t owe anything unless I was entirely satisfied with their service, merely asking me to confirm the identity of my loan provider. While he was courteous, his demeanor shifted slightly when I hesitated to share any personal information over the phone. It was clear to me that this was a scam! Stay alert!

Received a call from this number today, regarding a supposed PPI reimbursement. The chap on the line introduced himself as Ben Morgan and had a distinctly Dutch accent. He was probing about any loans I've had in the past and insisted I verify which companies I'd worked with. While he maintained a courteous tone, it was clear he was quite irked when I declined to divulge any personal information.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who gave me a name, but I couldn’t remember exactly what it was. I asked him which company he was from, and he said something like Summit, related to PPI. When I enquired where he got my info, he claimed it was from Barclays bank, which I immediately knew couldn’t be true since banks don’t share their clients’ details. He said they got my info just last month, and that’s when I realised it was a scam. I stayed calm and asked them to take my number off their list and never call me again.

I had a rather strange experience with a caller who sounded distinctly foreign, possibly of Indian descent. When I inquired about his location and the company he represented, he continually echoed my name before abruptly ending the call. Quite baffling, to say the least!

I had the misfortune of receiving a call from a rather unpleasant individual. They asked to speak with me, but when I inquired about their identity, they responded with a rather crude “F off, you cow!” before abruptly ending the call. Quite the charmer, isn’t it?

I received a call from this number earlier today. There was a bloke on the other end with a foreign accent, though I didn’t quite catch his name. He mentioned something about an insurance company. When I probed him further, he confirmed it was regarding an accident. I firmly told him to sort out his information, labelled his spiel as a SCAM, and promptly ended the call. Quite the cheek, I must say!

I just received a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be "John," supposedly regarding PPI claims. When I informed him that we'd already dealt with that, he kept insisting, saying "no, no, no, no," before abruptly ending the call when it was clear he wasn't making any headway. He had an accent that seemed a bit off. Definitely suspect-take care, everyone!

Had a foreign chap ring me up waffling on about PPI. I just shouted into the receiver and then ended the call. I'm completely tired of picking up the phone only to be greeted by these dodgy scammers. Honestly, it feels like I receive more of these nuisance calls than actual ones from family! It’s incredibly frustrating.
