Got a call from some guy named Charlie from BY who said my internet would be cut off in 3 hours if I didn't do something. He went on and on about how someone else was using my internet or something. I told him I wasn’t buying any of it and that he definitely wasn’t with BT. He just hung up on me right after.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sam Wilson at BT. I told him I was tied up and asked if I could return the call later, but he just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scam, since I’m not even a BT internet customer.

I pretended to go along with it, but as soon as I mentioned I don’t use internet banking, they hung up straight away. Just got a call not long ago from someone claiming to be with BT, saying there was an issue with my internet and offering to fix it. It’s a total scam to get access to your computer so they can take control of it. These fraudsters are really harmful, raising cash for all sorts of criminal stuff like people trafficking, exploitation, drug dealing and worse. This number has got to be blocked straight away.

Got a call that was completely silent. Turns out if you don’t say ‘hello’ when you pick up, their automated thing doesn’t register it and just drops the call. I tried answering in Welsh instead and it really threw them off! Blocked the number straight away - looked dodgy and it rang me again the week before. Told them they’d got a business line by mistake, which usually scares them off. This time some Asian bloke shouted a load of swears at me before hanging up. Proper scam, no doubt.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, sounded like he was talking through his nose or something. He said he was from BT and claimed there were issues with my internet.
