These scammers are everywhere, and it’s shocking that the UK government still hasn’t stepped in to stop overseas scammers using British phone numbers. We seriously need some real action on this - maybe start by contacting your MP and making your voice heard!

Someone called saying they were with BT Internet, but I just told them that wasn’t the case.

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent who said they needed to secure my broadband and disconnect it. Then they just hung up suddenly. When they called back, I made sure to switch it off.

Just hang up straight away, they’re nothing but scammers. Don’t give out any info, and if you do talk, try to make your voice unrecognisable. They only want your cash and honestly, they get no respect from me. They’re less evolved than a pencil in my eyes.

Somebody called saying they were from BT internet and threatened to cut my service off. Thing is, I don't even have a BT connection. I just told them to jog on.

So, I got back home and noticed a missed call from this number in Tumkur, Bangalore. No voicemail or anything. The number was totally unknown to me, but since it's from India, I’m guessing it’s some sort of call centre, so I decided to just block it.
