Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky Refund, saying I was due £202 back. She asked for my date of birth but I told her to just send the details to my Sky email instead. She said she was from the refund team but didn’t have my email, then ended the call. Clearly a scam, and it’s a real risk for anyone who isn’t careful.

I got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, claiming he worked for Sky and said I was due a refund of £202. He asked me for my bank info, and I stupidly gave it to him. As soon as I realised, I rang my bank and then Sky to double check. In the end, I had to cancel my card quick sharp.

Just got a call from a bloke claiming he was Peter from the Sky refunds team. I asked him for some account info, but he said only the accounts department had that. Then I asked him to confirm my address for security, and he gave me an old address I haven’t lived at in more than a decade. Definitely a total con.

Someone rang me up saying I was owed £220 from Sky and wanted my date of birth and the expiry date on my debit card. I made up fake info for both. Then they asked for my bank sort code! Totally dodgy. I’d be really worried if my elderly parents got a call like this. If we know the numbers these scammers use, why can’t the proper authorities track them down? Seems mad.

Got two calls today from different people, first was a guy who sounded like he was from India or Pakistan in the morning, then later on in the day a woman with an Asian accent. They were trying to tell me I could get a refund from Sky, but I’m not even a Sky customer. Pretty obvious scam attempt if you ask me.

Every time they ask for my date of birth and bank info. I like to mess about and keep the call going for ages. Planning on reporting all of them soon.

Had a bit of a heated chat with the lady on the phone, sounded like she had a Pakistani accent, insisting she was with Sky. Told her I didn’t think it was legit and called Sky myself afterwards. They confirmed it was a scam. Gonna report it to the fraud dept now.

For the last couple of weeks, I've been getting loads of calls saying I'm owed a refund from Sky. Just today, the number 08142983021 rang me claiming I was due £220 from them. The caller gave me a computer dial number, 03303331250, and said they were based at 28 Station Close, Hertfordshire. I'm planning to pass all this onto the police’s fraud department.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent who was looking for my wife, saying she was owed a refund from Sky. They then asked for her Visa card info. I stepped in because I actually work for Sky, and told him straight up that Sky doesn’t ring up customers asking for stuff like that. I tried to get him to provide any kind of reference or account number, but he couldn’t give me any. I then explained that what he was requesting completely goes against Sky’s data protection policies, and he just didn’t say anything after that.

This morning my 91 year old Dad got a call from this number, he put it on speaker so I could listen in. A lady, sounding Asian and with a thick accent, said he was due a refund from Sky. They checked his address and then she asked for his date of birth. I quickly told her we weren’t giving out that info on the phone and ended the call. Without me there, he might've just handed it over. Totally feels like a scam to me.

I refused and said it sounded dodgy, that I'd get in touch with Sky myself. As soon as I said that, he just hung up. I followed up with Sky and they said loads of people had reported similar calls. Just got a call this morning around half eleven, person said I should be getting £200 back from SKY. I said I don’t usually hand over my bank info to random callers. I asked for a number where I could call SKY directly to verify, and they gave me 0330333150, which I’m pretty sure is fake. When I asked for a manager’s name, she said Jessica, with a strong Asian accent. Then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from some folks saying they were from "Sky Refund Department" using this number, asking me to verify my personal info. I fed them fake details and they just kept going. Then they wanted my bank and card info - total red flag for a scam. They said their address was 28 Potter's Bar Close, London. When I checked it on Google Street View, it showed a house with a garage and even a website for sky insurance stuff. Now trying to figure out how to report these scammers.

So, I got a call yesterday from some guy with an Asian accent, saying something about my BT contract. Thing is, I don’t have one. I just left him waiting on the line. Now today, I’ve had about six missed calls from a similar number, but the last two digits are different - yesterday it ended with 19, today it’s 21. Pretty sure it’s the same mob. Probably trying to talk bollocks about my Sky contract now, which I also don’t have. And I’m registered with the bloody TPS as well! Nothing changes, just a complete waste of my time.

Got a call from 02033225950 with a recorded voice claiming it was from H E M C, saying they needed to speak to me about some legal matter. They told me to press 1 to talk to a case worker, but it was clearly a scam. I’ve already reported the number to the police’s fraud team.
