1 yearI got a dodgy letter claiming there was an issue with my Barclays account, but I closed my account years ago. Back in 2020, I fell for a scam and Barclays didn’t help at all. The letter gives phone numbers like 08006343924 for the bank, 08088084000 for National Debtline, 08001381111 for StepChange, and 116 123 for Samaritans, but all of these are fake. They want you to call so they can record your info. It also weirdly tells you to contact an email if you’re stressed, but that email seemed really suspicious to me. Definitely don’t trust this sort of thing!BarclaysNational DebtlineStepChange Debt Charity2 yearsGot a call from National Debt Line, and honestly, they felt pretty dodgy to me.
