Ordered some grub through Uber Eats and noticed they charged my husband’s card first, then somehow they grabbed more cash from my card which has a totally different number. No clue how they got my details, haven’t even signed up with that number before. Then I got a text saying Uber Eats was trying to charge using this phone number and a code. Got a text saying my card was used on 01-03-2024 at 22:25:11 at Just4kitchen.com for £5.95, asking me to reply Y if I know about it or N if not. The message was from 07476 559268, and it said I could also call 0808 280256 and enter 227. I replied N, and right away someone claiming to be from Santander rang me. When I questioned them, they told me to call the number on the back of my card. After checking my online bank statement, there’s no sign of that payment anywhere.

I received a voicemail on our landline from this number just minutes after booking a Disney trip. They left a 3-digit code for me to use if I called back. To be safe, I called Santander using the number on my card, but they said they didn’t know this number and warned me it could be a scam. The people running this number are posting here, claiming it's legit and sharing fake stories about it being safe. Think about it - if you really had a good experience with this number, why would you bother coming here to say so? That just doesn’t add up. So the nice comments you see are obviously not true. Their aim is to scam you out of your money. Also, don’t respond to their texts - they might hack your phone and steal info from your key presses. - From someone who works in cyber security.

This number sent me three texts using three different profiles. Pretty funny honestly, because I had my bank account open on my laptop the whole time and nothing was missing. Just a heads up, scammers have become so clever they've faked every phone number your bank might use to try and steal from even the most cautious people. These fraudsters are seriously skilled. Be careful, but don’t just ignore calls that say they’re from your bank. If you get a call, hang up and make sure the line’s really gone, then ring your bank back on the number printed on the back of your card. A real bank worker won’t mind you doing this. Don’t wait ages to call back though, because there could be a genuine issue with your account that needs sorting out quickly.

Claims to be from Santander Bank, warning about potential credit card fraud. I’m choosing to disregard it. This marks the fourth time I’ve been contacted by this scammer within a mere 12-hour span - three calls during the night and one earlier today. I’ll reach out to Santander directly using the telephone number printed on the back of my card.

Indeed, the details of the actions align perfectly with what was mentioned earlier, but it's evident they've linked the records of our residence. They managed to phone both me and my wife, as well as our landline, reaching out to us twice apiece, all from different numbers. What a splendid website this is! Hats off to you!

I can confirm that this number is indeed genuine and associated with Santander's fraud team. The representatives I spoke with were incredibly helpful and displayed a high level of professionalism. Initially, a lot of folks were suspicious, thinking it might be a scam, but I assure you, it is absolutely legitimate!

Got a call claiming to be Santander’s Fraud Team, but it was all automated. It asked me to answer some security questions and enter a pin they said they just sent me. Then it wanted to check if I recognised certain transactions. One question was my birth year - it read out a list of years, and I had to choose the right one by number. Then it asked me to punch in the day and month of my birth. That was the extent of it.

This really is the Santander Fraud Team - I contacted my local branch after getting loads of calls on my landline and mobile, along with texts about transactions I never did. It's clear someone has used my bank card without permission, and I'm dealing with it with them as we speak! I reported 08082802586 just yesterday and got a bit worried, so I called my bank again just to be sure. Turns out the call WAS legit after all! With all the warnings about not sharing personal info on the phone, I was pretty cautious. Still, I'd say better to be careful than risk anything.

Got a call claiming to be from Santander, sounded really legit - like the ones they do when they wanna check on strange transactions. They quickly started asking for my personal info, so I just hung up. Rang the Bank myself and they confirmed it wasn’t them at all! These scammers tried calling me 3 times, but I’ve blocked the number now. What’s scary is the voice was spot on, a woman speaking perfect English, just like the genuine bank calls.

Got a declined payment and this number dropped a few messages asking me to ring back. When I did, they started asking for my personal info, which I gave a bit of but then stopped. Asked them to call me back instead, but they wouldn’t. So I phoned Santander directly and they said it’s a scam.
