I got a call supposedly from HMRC threatening legal trouble if I didn’t respond. It was a recorded voice telling me to press one to talk to someone. Honestly, just scammy rubbish meant to scare you. I didn’t fall for it, but I’m sure loads of people will freak out when they get this. Best thing is to just block and forget about it. Makes me so mad how they mess with people like this.

I called my local council and asked who was on the line, she just said they had my info from somewhere and mentioned a solicitor. I told her she was a scammer and to go away, then she hung up. But it freaks me out how she knew my name, address and even the repairs I’d reported ages ago. Does this mean she’s hacked into the council’s system or something?

job said they was from housing repairs, some separate firm that got my name and address. they claimed i was paying full rent even tho there’s loads of repairs not done yet, i told them straight i knew it was a scam cos i don’t even rent the place i live in.

some lass called herself shanice, rang up sayin it was about repairs that the council supposedly still owes me. she somehow had my name and number but i didn’t tell her anything else, just kept sayin i haven’t got any repairs left to sort. after that, she said sorry and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be housing repairs, who already knew my name and where I live. They said they want to send a team over to check for any damages that haven't been fixed by the council yet.

Some bloke called sayin he was James from housing repair. He already knew my name, reckon my info’s been sold about. Told him I was waitin for a doctor’s call but he just went on talkin, so I cut him off and blocked the number. Been ringin me from about five different numbers now, I’ve blocked ’em all. Proper fed up with these calls.

Im on Gift Gaff and almost everytime i get a call from some random number it shows a big red warning saying 'possible spam' on my screen. Makes it super easy to just hang up straightaway, really useful feature if u ask me!
