3 yearsI received a notification on my computer stating that it had been blocked to prevent a Trojan from getting in. Unfortunately, I got duped into calling the provided number to supposedly resolve the issue, believing I was speaking with Microsoft as they claimed. The whole scheme was incredibly convincing, right down to the official-looking documents. To top it off, there was a Spanish connection for the so-called "engineer" involved. Quite the elaborate set-up!Microsoft4 yearsI received a call from someone purporting to be a technician from Microsoft, who offered to tidy up my laptop. They tried to charge me £499.95 for a five-year warranty. Thank goodness I consulted with my bank beforehand; they advised me it was all a scam. What a huge relief it was to avoid that!Microsoft4 yearsAbsolutely got swindled by these chancers! We forked out £250 into some dodgy account, under the impression it was genuine Microsoft. Then, lo and behold, the same alarming Trojan virus message popped up on our screen again. This time, they were after a mere £150 for a "one-off" technician. That was our lightbulb moment, and we quickly realised we were dealing with the same con. The whole saga kicked off on our PC, and naïvely, we reached out to them thinking they were the bona fide Microsoft crew.Microsoft4 yearsSomebody managed to access my PC remotely because I hadn’t installed a certain antivirus programme. Ended up paying for antivirus protection because of it!!!4 yearsOh, for heaven’s sake! Not this again! Yet another scammer pretending to work with the Microsoft tech team, offering to sort out my computer from afar. They insisted that our system was riddled with malware. What a load of nonsense!Microsoft4 yearsReceived a call from a so-called Microsoft technician claiming there was a virus on my laptop. What a ridiculous scam that turned out to be! Can't believe I fell for it!Microsoft5 yearsReceived a call from someone purporting to be a Microsoft technician, saying they needed to remotely access my computer to check for viruses.
