They were very convincing, even sent some paperwork to back it up. The so-called "engineer" on the line had a Spanish accent, which was a bit suspicious.Microsoft4 yearsSomebody called saying they were from Microsoft and said they’d fixed my laptop, then asked for £499.95 for a 5-year warranty. Thankfully I double checked with my bank first and they told me it was a scam. Then, the same warning about a Trojan popped up on my computer again. The second time, they asked for just £150, claiming it was for a one-off tech visit.
