3 yearsI recently received an alarming notification on my laptop, warning me that it had been compromised by a Trojan Horse virus. The message urged me not to use the device and instructed me to contact Microsoft at the number 08081751932. Out of concern, I followed the instructions and spoke with someone who suggested I boot my laptop in safe mode, claiming he would assist me in resolving the issue. He then directed me to a website, https://rmus.pro/, and requested that I input a code into my laptop. At that point, I became suspicious and questioned his legitimacy. His response was nothing short of defensive, which immediately raised red flags for me. It was clear that he was attempting to con me. I urge everyone to be vigilant; this is a common scam that should not be taken lightly!Microsoft4 yearsWhat a con! Just received a dodgy message pretending to be from PayPal about ASDA gift vouchers supposedly purchased using my account. Complete nonsense!PayPalASDA4 yearsGot a call claiming to be PayPal, telling me to open an invoice for £650. Definitely a scam, so watch out!PayPal4 yearsGot an email from what said it was PayPal billing, saying they were going to charge me £650. I logged into my PayPal but there was no sign of any invoice. Smells like another scam to me.PayPal4 yearsGot an email supposedly from PayPal (but really not them) about Asda gift cards worth £625 using the wrong name. I looked up the phone number they included and found loads of similar reports here on this site. It’s clearly a phishing scam. So I called the number they gave, but from another phone. I told the person I got an email about someone trying to buy Asda gift cards worth £625. She asked me for my name and address, but I said no way, just in case it was a con. She then got annoyed and said, “If you won’t give me the info, I’ll just approve the purchase myself,” and then she suddenly hung up. Proper scam attempt!PayPalAsda4 yearsI sent it through to PayPal since the email address matched, but the name was completely wrong.PayPal4 yearsGot an email claiming I owed a big sum, but when I checked my account the balance was £0.00. They use it to get cash for fake transactions. Pretty sneaky!PayPal4 yearsI came across this phone number mentioned in a dodgy email that was supposedly from PayPal's official estimation system.
