I gave them a call and the person on the other end said I needed to put my phone into safe mode so he could help me fix the issue and get access to my laptop. He then had me visit a site called https://rmus.pro/ and read out a code to type in. I wasn't comfortable with it and told him I didn’t trust what he was doing, which made him get a bit impatient. Right then, I realised straight away that it was a scam.
