Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky (I’m not a customer) saying my breakdown cover needed renewing. I just ended the call straight away, but he rang back right away and wouldn't take no for an answer. When I asked if he even knew my name, he couldn't tell me. He kept ringing, about 7 times in total, then finally stopped.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, saying they could help me cut costs on an insurance policy I didn’t even know I had. They kept going on about how much I’d save, but honestly, it felt dodgy right from the get-go. I ended the call, but they rang me back immediately, so I just blocked the number to be safe.

Got a call from this number about my sky breakdown insurance, and when i asked for the policy number to have a look, the lady refused and said i had to pay £99 immediately as a single payment. when i told her to go ahead and charge it, she just ended the call. seriously, don’t share your policy details with these folks. insist they provide the number first so you can verify everything yourself!

Another dodgy caller trying to scam me out of cash, this time claiming to be from Sky, talking about renewing insurance. I don't even have Sky, but I decided to humour them. As soon as I asked if the account was under my name or my partner's, they dropped the call straight away. Had a thick Indian or Asian accent. Seriously, why aren’t the cops cracking down on these scams? With all the tech we've got now, aren’t they supposed to be able to track these calls?

Like some others here, i got a call supposedly from Sky (the person had an Indian/Asian accent) telling me my direct debit for breakdown cover had expired - but i don’t even have any breakdown cover. i kept them on the line for a while till they started asking for my card details. then i asked them to check my name on their system to prove it was real, and they just ended the call straight away 00
