Looks like a scam to me, my Mac’s been locked up now.

I encountered a pesky pop-up on my MacBook that was utterly unresponsive, prompting me to ring up 'Apple Support' at a specified number. Upon contacting them, they started trying to sell me something called Apple Cure-what a laugh; it's actually Apple Care! I clocked on to the ruse pretty quickly and ended the call. Luckily, I managed to sort out the issue with my MacBook shortly after. Just a word of warning to others; don't fall for this scam!

I got a call from this number claiming to be Apple Support, but it's a total scam! They told me my MacBook was locked, which wasn't true at all. All I had to do was force quit Safari. Seriously, don’t bother calling back, it’s definitely a con.

So, I got a weird alert on my Mac saying this number was blocked, and stupidly I decided to call it. Turns out it’s a total scam, best to stay well away and not answer or ring back.
