Got a good chunk of cash from my elderly in-laws, who are in their 90s. Somehow managed to put bogus software on their computer.

It's a total scam. They hack into your computer and nick your personal info. They mainly target older people.

They try to come across as a proper business, but really it’s a trick. They ask you to install LogMeInRescue so they can access your computer remotely. Don’t allow them that control! If you want real security, just go with Norton or similar trusted software. They even put a warning on her PC and stuck their phone number on the taskbar. When chatting to her, they also gave her another number: 08081699973 - I'd steer clear of that one too, it seems suspicious.

My mother-in-law really thought she was getting some kind of software security from these people. Instead, they put some suspicious program on her computer and even flashed porn scenes on her screen. Then, this phone number kept showing up, tricking her into calling back so they could try and squeeze cash outta her.

My mum ended up losing control of her laptop after clicking a link that promised to fix a bug or something, and then these scammers got remote access to her computer. They ended up charging her 200 quid. It's such a horrible scam. Once more, Cyber-xone.

Just like everyone else, I ended up getting scammed exactly the same way.

This number scammed me too. My laptop started acting up and suddenly this phone number showed on my screen. I rang them thinking it was legit and ended up paying £180 for 2 years of supposed protection. Really dodgy!

My mum, who’s quite old, got tricked into losing £500 because she clicked on this dodgy link and her PC just went haywire. Then this number appeared, claiming they could sort it out, and it connected to Cyber-xone.com. They remotely accessed her computer and ended up putting a Trojan and spyware on it. After that, they rang her up and took $600 for some 'lifetime support' that was obviously fake. Total rip-off.

My relative got tricked into paying more than £200 for what they thought was antivirus software, but it ended up being spyware. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft.
