Got a call from some idiot pretending to be BT, saying that my computer's firewall was under attack. I told him I could send him a bag full of cash, just to see his reaction, which totally threw him off. Then I told him to have a lovely day and hung up. People like that are just rubbish.

Got a call from some bloke in India asking about my sky broadband, which I don’t even have. Then he started quizzing me about my internet provider. When I said I didn’t have one, he actually called me an idiot! All this from a guy who claims to work in a call centre, funny stuff!

Some bloke called saying there was an issue with my internet. I kept asking him which company he was from, like three times, and he just said I was repeating myself. Then I asked who my provider was, and all he said was, can you just log into your laptop? Then he hung up. Dodgy, so I blocked the number straight away!

Some guy rang up saying there was a problem with my firewall getting hacked or summat. I just told him that wasn’t true and cut him off. Blocked the number right after.

Had a call from these lot earlier, what a load of scam rubbish! They really should find an honest job, maybe something like catering or even training to be a proper baker. I’m planning to send a report to Action Fraud as I do with scam emails, but honestly, feels like a bit of a pointless effort unless loads of people flag the same number. The cops might only take notice when the complaints start piling up.

I received a rather concerning call earlier today regarding the safety of my Wi-Fi. The caller, who had an accent that I would describe as Indian, claimed that my router was infected with phishing malware that was supposedly being transferred to my computer. Naturally, I inquired about which company provided my Wi-Fi service, as they had already conducted a check. To my surprise, she abruptly ended the call! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

Got a call from this number around 7.44AM today. The scam calls seem to be happening earlier and later these days - can't they just stop already? I'm blocking this number straight away.

Just got a call from some bloke claiming to be Henry from BT, telling me about issues with my internet that don’t even exist. Told him straight up he sounds like a scammer, and he went on to call me a p### pusher’s kid. Then, out of nowhere, he asks if he can come round for half an hour in bed. I just said no thanks and ended the call.

Cheers for pointing this out, Vicki. I received a call from this number yesterday, but I decided not to pick up. I’ve encountered similar calls in the past, where it sounded like someone from India on the line, who promised to ring me daily while hurling profanities at me. I can’t fathom what they hope to gain from such ridiculous behaviour-it's beyond me. I’ll be blocking this number straight away. Thanks once more!

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent, loads of chatter in the background like a hectic call centre. She told me there was a problem with my router and asked me to open Google Chrome on my computer and type in a website address. I pretended to follow along (didn't actually type anything) and jotted down the address she gave, which was mostly random letters and numbers with [###] at the end. When I told her I was getting an error message saying: GO AWAY, she just hung up. These scammers are so annoying! Be careful out there and don’t trust anyone!

I picked up, said hello a couple times then just ended the call. Definitely sounds like a scam. The authorities seriously need to do something about this, especially putting heat on the countries where these calls come from. So many folks who aren’t tech savvy get caught out by this rubbish. Stay cautious out there.

Some lady rang me up saying there was an issue with my Virgin internet and that my connection had errors. She asked me to log onto my computer and let her access it remotely to fix the router using some app called Zoho. I asked her how I could confirm she was legit, and she just sighed really heavily and then ended the call. Honestly, don’t hand over any details or let anyone on your computer like that!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent while I was at work. He said he was calling on behalf of Three, telling me my internet had been giving them problems for a few weeks. He offered to sort it out, but as soon as I began asking some questions, the call just dropped. So now, no clue how to get my internet fixed! :(

There was a lot of noise in the background like it was a call centre. The woman was hard to follow, kept talking about issues with my internet and how someone might be stealing my personal data. I told her to send me her direct phone number so I could verify and call her back, but then she just ended the call!

I received a phone call from this number, purporting to be a service that allegedly checks the security of my WiFi. I explained that I wasn’t interested - to be honest, I’m rather sceptical about the legitimacy of the call. I firmly believe that if I had any concerns regarding my WiFi, I would reach out to my internet provider myself. When I politely requested to have my number removed from their calling list, the individual on the other end bizarrely threatened me, saying I’d be inundated with calls if I didn’t engage with him at that moment. He even had the audacity to question who I thought I was to give him orders. I reiterated my request for him to remove my details and suggested that he consult his manager, as it would be evident in the recording that I was being civil and respectful. To my shock, he openly said that if his manager heard our conversation, he’d threaten me in an offensive manner. Quite appalling behaviour, really. I’ve since blocked the number. - caller: 0808 169 2463
