Today I got six calls from three different numbers, which I reckon might be linked. I only got to answer one call and the person asked for someone by name. When I said it wasn’t me, they then asked for another name that sounded very close to the first one. Feels like they’re fishing to get you to say your real name, but I’m not completely sure.

The folks from ReAssured insurance brokers ring up loads of different numbers without giving up, even if you tell them you're not keen. It really must be awful for their sales reps, and honestly, the company bosses should put a stop to this. It's not doing anyone any favours.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me as some others. First, an 0808 showed up, then I got a call from a Basingstoke area code too. I even made the mistake of clicking on an insurance link online and since then, calls just keep coming non-stop. I’m gonna block both numbers now and hopefully that stops the bother. Beware of outbound insurance calls! I put my real number in on a comparison website by mistake and since then, I've been flooded with loads of calls from these lot. It’s weird tho, a couple of days ago I got an email from life360 saying that some bloke had gotten hold of names and numbers from accounts, but luckily no bank info was taken, so all good apparently. Thing is, this was about an account I made like three years ago, so either their system got hacked or life360 is selling old account info to scammers. Feels fishy for sure.

They’ve got a website that looks like it’s connected to other insurance sites, but don’t mix them up with REASSURE, a proper insurance company that, among other things, purchases or takes over other insurance firms and their current policyholders.
