Had a call from them earlier on today, seeking a Mrs. Trouble is, we’re a Miss! We politely pointed out that they had dialled the wrong number. They quickly apologised and hung up, leaving us to wonder whether they’d be able to identify their mistakes if they bothered to check. Clearly, we’re not a Mrs, but it seems that didn’t register!

As we had imagined, it was yet another call centre, likely the same one we’ve encountered before. However, they were now representing “Grants of Cornwall,” a dealer in gold bullion, no less. We had a chat with a fellow named Sammy, who sounded rather taken aback by our response. To put it frankly, we're quite annoyed (and really, it’s about time these outfits invested in a system that cuts off the line the moment you answer). That said, Sammy did promise to remove our number from their calling list. Here’s hoping he follows through!

Earlier today, while I was behind the wheel, our mobile rang but we couldn’t answer in time. As soon as we managed to pull over safely, we decided to return the call, only to be greeted by a recorded message. It claimed that calls from certain mobile networks weren’t complimentary, which prompted us to end the call immediately. I must say, we’ve never engaged with Candis, so receiving this call was quite unwelcome. Not only do these interruptions feel invasive, but they also pose a risk while driving. Plus, it begs the question - why on earth should we bear the cost to realise this is just some marketing ploy? Absolute nonsense, if you ask me!

The bloke on the other end claimed he was from Grants of Cornwall, purporting to deal in gold bullion! Do a quick search for them and see what you think. Gold bullion? We promptly hung up, as we've never engaged with Candis and truly object to their intrusion on our phone. It's not only bothersome, but it raises safety concerns as well. Moreover, why on earth should we have to potentially fork out cash just to uncover it’s yet another marketing call? Honestly, it’s quite outrageous!
