Following that, I mentioned I had downloaded a remote app for my Philips television and no longer required their services. To my surprise, I got an email stating I had a month-long trial for free, but then they’d whack £30 out of my account monthly thereafter. On the 28th of April, 2020, I reached out to request the cancellation of this trial since it was of no use to me. Just the next day, I noticed they had already taken £30, with another £30 transaction pending on the same date. I didn’t receive any assistance whatsoever. So, I decided to give them a ring to lodge a complaint and asked for my money back, along with cancelling this unauthorised membership. Now I'm just waiting for my funds to be refunded. I've also brought this to the attention of Barclays bank, and I’m currently in limbo, hoping they will step in and sort it out for me if this business doesn’t come through.
