I’m with Bulb and got a strange letter that was meant for someone else who apparently lived at my address before but never did. The letter said I owed money for energy usage and threatened legal action. What made me wary was that I got two identical letters on the same day, which seemed odd. This seems like one of those dodgy energy scams. I'm not sure how they ended up with my mum's address, but she used to be with Bulb, so maybe there's been a leak somewhere. The letter they sent had an address that’s not Bulb’s real office, plus the phone number was 0300 something, which felt off. It’s really easy to get fooled by it, so best not to ring them at all.

I got this number from Bulb’s debt collection team after emailing their customer support about my account, which I’ve been sorting out for some time. When I rang, the person on the other end checked my account and reviewed my past emails with Bulb. They never requested my bank information or asked me to transfer any funds. They've tried to trick me on 3 different occasions. Twice it happened back in 2021 - once via a letter and once over the phone. The most recent was on 25th May 2022, again by letter. They told me to ring 08081648282 to settle a supposed outstanding bill, but I’d already paid it weeks earlier. Total scam! Don’t freak out if you get random calls or letters about bills, just get in touch with your actual supplier instead. Never share your details with anyone suspicious.

So this guy called Ability Devraj from Bulb rang me up. He only called me Ann, didn’t ask for my surname or anything, so I just hung up.
