I mess around a bit with them, then ask, since their English is so fluent (with an Indian accent), if they went to university - trying to be all polite and friendly. After that, I ask if they spent all that time studying why they’re scammers and if their folks would be proud of them. The abuse I get back is something else. They’re not from E-on, that’s for sure. I received a couple of calls today, 13th October 2022, from a lady with a foreign accent. She left a message on my answering machine mentioning she was from an outfit that sounded like YONICS, claiming she wanted to have a chat about my account. Rather peculiar, though, as the number flashed up as reported spam on my device.

Someone's pretending to be EON but they definitely aren't! They keep ringing up asking for Accounts Payable. I got in touch with EON myself and their phone numbers start with 0345.
