The caller had a noticeably heavy accent and seemed to be speaking from a scripted dialogue, with no flexibility to address my basic inquiries. This definitely aroused suspicion in me. I repeatedly questioned them about how they obtained my home phone number, as it has no connection to the ownership or registration of our computer. Unfortunately, they did not provide a satisfactory response. Therefore, it is important not to place trust in these individuals.

I received a call from a certain number as well. They informed me that my computer had errors and warnings, which greatly surprised me, considering I own two laptops and one desktop. They instructed me to switch on one of my devices and proceeded to show me the errors and warnings. Intriguingly, I discovered that all of my gadgets were becoming infected each day. This frightened me, but the callers assured me not to panic. They proceeded to connect my computer and laptops to their server, which took approximately 45 minutes to demonstrate the problems and eliminate them. At this point, I realized that my security had been compromised. They urged me to renew it, which left me slightly unsure. However, when I noticed that the secure gateway had been opened up, I felt relieved and proceeded to register for the renewal. Consequently, I now have warranty coverage for all of my gadgets. This is definitely a scam. I made the regrettable mistake of allowing them to access my computer during a previous phone call. It became clear that they were trying to perform some sort of fraudulent activity on my system. They showed me what appeared to be corrupted files, but in reality, they were legitimate files. However, they kept diverting my attention away from their actions. Eventually, they requested £100 as payment for software to remove the supposed threat. I wisely contacted the software company they mentioned and was informed that it was indeed a scam. Please exercise caution and be aware that these individuals are not affiliated with Windows. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that their English language skills were quite poor. I have reported them for phishing activities as well.

This person guided me through some steps, like using the run command, and showed me the supposed errors on my computer. However, something about this situation just didn't seem right to me. I received a phone call from someone claiming to be John Brown (definitely not his real name) with a quite unusual accent. He said that when I used social media and other websites, annoying ads were appearing and affecting my computer. I informed him that I had an ad blocker and therefore this couldn't be the case. He then insisted that this was happening before I installed the ad blocker. I decided to tell him that I had always had an ad blocker, although it was just a little fib. After that, I asked for his number and told him I would contact him if I experienced any issues. I promptly disposed of his number where it rightfully belongs - in the bin!
