This number, 08081433684, flashed up on a dodgy pop-up claiming to block my internet access. I flagged it with my provider, as they were basically cutting off my connection without cause. Luckily, their legal department is treating it seriously and investigating the whole thing as a potential scam. Fingers crossed they’ll be dealt with properly soon, whether that’s being shut down or facing court and penalties. Cheers for sharing the screenshots too, they really help build the case. The more people who come forward, the better our odds of getting some recompense.

I saw 08081433684 show up on a dodgy pop-up online, and loads of folks seem to have reported it as a scam. I ended up contacting my internet provider about it, and they said they'd forward the matter to their legal department. Apparently, that pop-up is breaking the law by blocking my internet access, and what they’re trying to do smells of fraud.
