No scam here. I just used my phone contract to pay for my PlayStation subscription this month, then got a text like this. The amount was right, so I'd say it's legit.

Got a text supposedly from Boku, but it felt a bit off. Not sure if it’s legit or just a scam trying to trick people. Always makes me wary when I get these unexpected messages out of the blue. Better to double check before clicking anything or replying.

I got a text from Boku saying I'd spent £**. I found out it was from some third party app I used, and the charge went through on my phone bill. So, for me, it’s not spam. But the message didn’t say who they actually were, which made me do a bit of digging before I figured it out.

This sounds like a scam pretending to be Boku or one of their clients who handle payments. They haven't actually taken any money from me. If you call them back, they try to get you to pay some supposed "arrears" in order to close the account and avoid further issues. Complete nonsense.

Honestly, this number seems quite sketchy to me since I’ve never come across it before. I called it after seeing a text I got today from them claiming to be some third party working with Microsoft, Google, Spotify and so on. What bugs me is, if they’re legit, why didn’t they inform me by text when charges first appeared on my phone bill? They only messaged me now, which feels really dodgy. I’m thinking it’s safer to just handle all payments directly through my bank from now on. Feels risky dealing with stuff like this over the phone.

This number has sent me about 10 texts claiming to be from Boku, all about payments on my daughter's phone for PlayStation stuff. Lately, she's been getting voice messages on Snapchat from a lad who sounds like he’s saying he’s the one using her number to make these buys. I rang my mobile company and so far, no fees have been applied, but they advised me to call back tomorrow to be sure.

I got hit with a 13p charge on my phone bill after texting 62226, supposedly for PayPal confirmation. Seems like a sneaky new way they’re making money, but honestly, don’t reply or call back anything from this number or it could add up fast. Be careful, it looks like PayPal’s finding new ways to nick cash from people without them realising.

Beware of a scam through text messages, as these individuals went the extra mile by hacking into my friend's Instagram account. They pretended to be my friend in order to deceive me into replying to 'Opt out' messages from the number 78660 on their behalf. This ended up costing me £50 for just two replies.

We are being charged by Payforit for Bollywood movies that we did not request, and we suspect it happened after we installed Netflix. The provided number to stop these charges is a premium rate number. This has already cost us £50, making it clear that this is a complete scam.

I have recently received multiple text messages thanking me for subscribing to Spuul at a monthly rate of £2.99. Shortly after, I received another text stating that I am now unsubscribed. Spuul is an application for downloading Bollywood and Indian movies. To my surprise, when I checked my bill, I noticed that I had been charged £2.99 for each of these texts. Initially, I believed that these texts were a scam, so I deleted them without thinking. In hindsight, it would have been better to keep them as evidence. It seems that "Payforit" operates as a payment gateway similar to Pay Pal and is used for making purchases from the Play Store or Microsoft Store using your mobile device. Although I'm not yet sure how to proceed, tomorrow I will begin by contacting my mobile provider and seeking their guidance on this matter.

Within a span of a few hours, I received multiple messages stating 'Thank you for your payment of £9.99. If you have any queries regarding this payment, please contact 08081202341.’ However, upon checking my bank account, I realized that no such payments had been debited from my account. It seems that this might be a tactic to exploit unsuspecting individuals into fearing they have made illicit charges and urging them to call the specified premium phone number.

We've just received our son's phone bill, and there's a mysterious charge for six pounds. He's completely baffled by it. He suspects he may have unwittingly signed up on some dodgy site while trying to access something that was supposedly free, which asked for his number. It seems like it could be a scam. Can anyone advise on what steps we should take next?
