I got a call from someone claiming to be HP Support, saying they could help link my printer to my laptop. They then told me my Windows 10 licence had run out, which was why my printer wouldn’t connect. They insisted I needed to pay £99 for a one-year licence, £199 for three years, or £299 for five years. Sadly, I ended up paying £199. Looking back, I think the caller was actually from a company called Core Solutions, which is the name that appeared on the payment of £200 I made.

This number called me and I thought it was the official HP help centre for their London office close to Smithfields. I was having issues with my printer and computer so I googled HP support, and this number popped up. They rang me, sounded pretty legit, and managed to sort out my printer hassle.
