I received a call from this number on my mobile today. When I picked up, there was total silence on the other end. I didn’t say a word either, as I quickly realised it was just another pesky nuisance call. Upon further investigation, I found that they had tried contacting me before as well.

Received a call today from this number, but they didn’t bother to leave a message. Clearly, whatever it was couldn’t have been urgent. I don’t recognise the digits at all, so I can only presume it was either some annoying sales pitch or yet another dodgy scam attempt. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Why is it that tracing the name and details of someone calling from an 0800 number seems to be such a challenge? Take for instance the number 0800 980 690777. It’s rather puzzling, isn’t it?
