Received a call from this number just after I had my boiler checked by British Gas yesterday. Out of curiosity, I searched the number online and found that quite a few others have encountered the same situation. I've decided not to pick up and have no intention of doing so in the future. Planning to block it altogether!

We received a call from this number around twenty-one fifteen. Both of us are in our late seventies. My wife tends to hit the sack by twenty hundred, so we often miss such calls. Had a rather irksome experience with a call from British Gas on my mobile, which is odd considering we’ve only ever shared our number with close friends and family. I received a call from 08009806166 at 10:46 this afternoon, but they promptly hung up without saying a word. Afterward, I decided to ring them back, only to be met with a recorded message claiming to be British Gas. Strangely, it didn’t seem to be anything of great importance. I can’t help but wonder if they're simply trying to catch me at home, perhaps to hand over my details to some unwanted telemarketers. What a nuisance!
