Lovely lady rang me up about some market research for a few different clients. I looked up the number while we were chatting and it seemed legit. The market research firm sounds proper and professional.

Got a call round 6pm on a Friday, only noticed it after it ended. The person said they were doing a survey for the local council. Didn’t feel dodgy at all and they didn’t ask for any personal details. They already had my name, the area I’m in, and my postcode. The questions they asked were the same ones I recall answering on a council survey online a couple years back, so it all felt pretty legit to me.

Pretty sure these are scammers. They mentioned this number during some “Social Housing Survey” call (at 5pm on a Sunday afternoon!) probably to make it seem legit. The call was clearly a phishing attempt, so I just kept going on about how they shouldn’t be calling me and wasted as much of their time as possible. Eventually, they gave up and hung up.

Heads up - those green replies are from staff working for the firm making these calls. Just block and report them, they’re only after your info to flog it on. Don’t buy into their rubbish about “market research”; these days it’s all about gathering data to create a profile and then sell it off.

IFF Research is a market research company that keeps bothering people every day and they won't accept "no" as a reply. They also keep changing their phone numbers, so even if you block one, they'll call you again later using a different number. Just search their company name with this site and you'll see what I'm talking about!

At first it felt real, but after seeing what others have said here, I'm a bit doubtful now.
