I got a call from this number but there was no voicemail left. When I rang back, it said it was the PDSA helpline, so I contacted the actual PDSA on 0800 917 2509. Turns out this number isn’t an official PDSA line. They use all the extensions listed on the real PDSA site, but PDSA only calls you back if you’ve made an emergency enquiry online. So watch out, this number is probably a scam.

This could be the real PDSA. However, scammers not just fake (copy or clone) legit bank and company numbers to trick folks, they even pretend to be real charities. If you wanna donate to a charity (keep in mind charity begins at home), do it through the charity's official website and make sure to use gift aid. Be careful and dont trust random calls.

I get calls from them all the time, like several times a week. Sometimes they use the same number, other times it’s a new one. But it’s always the same rubbish - “were you involved in a car crash?” or “ppi compensation” or some other nonsense.

Loads of people keep ringing but then just disconnect. I got a ring from this number when I was already on a crucial phone call. I picked up and said hello, and all I heard was a busy office noise (like loads of these bloody scam calls) then they just hung up - proper irritating and unwanted.
