Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent earlier today, 7th April, claiming to be from Talk Talk. She asked for some details but I didn’t share anything. She promised to send some sort of verification to the email linked to my account, but I never got anything. I’m planning to ring Talk Talk myself tomorrow to let them know. Plus, today was a public holiday here in Perthshire, so it all feels a bit off.

This number has rung my mobile a few times over the past couple of days - about three calls in total. I didn't answer any of them, but when I checked my voicemail, the message claimed it was someone from the management team at TalkTalk.

Was driving so couldn’t pick up. They left a voicemail - some guy with an Indian accent claiming to be Tanya from the doctor’s office, talking about my order. I just deleted the message and blocked the number straight away.

I got a few calls back to back in less than fifteen minutes, but they all went straight to voicemail. Nobody left a message, but I could just about hear people chatting like it was some call centre. Seems dodgy to me, maybe a scam? I’ve marked it down as harassment.

I've been getting constant calls and emails saying my antivirus payment is overdue and that my phone has viruses. The emails show they're from talktalk, but it all seems a bit dodgy. I don’t even have any antivirus subscription with talktalk, so I’m pretty sure this is some kind of scam.

Someone rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk and told me I needed to verify something. Felt a bit off, especially when he kept pushing me to say 'yes' rather than just letting me answer normally. I got a call from TalkTalk and ended up complaining about how badly they treated me. They say they’ve called me loads of times, but weirdly, my phone never actually rang. I’ve called them myself like four or five times, yet I can’t seem to get through to a real person. The voicemail they left was so faint and muffled, it was basically impossible to make out anything they said.

Pretty sure this number belongs to Talk Talk. I’ve been going back and forth with them about ending my contract, and they said in an email that they’ve been trying to call me. So, I reckon it’s legit. I had to mark it as unknown though, cause that’s the only choice given.

Somebody called claiming to be from TalkTalk, with loads of noise in the background. They couldn't get my first name right at all. They mentioned checking my broadband, but I’m tied into a deal till October 2025, plus TalkTalk normally emails me for these things anyway. Seems dodgy to me.

This number has rung me more than ten times in just a few days. Every time it just goes to voicemail, and I can hear people talking in the background, but they never leave a message. After reading what others said about it being a scam, I’ve blocked the number and reported it. Really annoying!

Some lady with an accent started rattling off stuff really fast, and I couldn’t make out what she was on about. I asked her to slow down and speak properly but she just cut me off and ended the call. After looking up this number on here I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Now when I check my block list I see it’s ringing me at some really odd hours - like past midnight and even at 3 in the morning. How on earth can a UK 0800 number be given to someone who can’t keep proper hours? Just this week, calls came through Monday at 00:14, then again Tuesday around 00:25, Wednesday at 6am, Thursday 00:25 and once more Friday at 6am. It’s totally unreasonable.

Got a call supposedly from TalkTalk claiming they had some new broadband offers to tell me about. When I showed interest, they suddenly started asking if anyone in my house had any health problems. I said yes, and then they went ahead and asked what kind of condition it was! I told them that’s really private and not something they need to know, then I just ended the call. It’s weird that TalkTalk would even want info about medical stuff, honestly.

Got a call from 0800 955 5544 on my phone tonight, claiming to be from TalkTalk. Thing is, I only have TalkTalk on my landline, not my mobile. The guy kept pushing to chat about my account, but I felt a bit suspicious and asked him to call my landline instead. Figured if it was legit, they'd already have that number. Got home last night to find a missed call from 08009555544. I rang back to find out who it was. The guy picked up and said he was from Energy Group, claiming I was paying way too much to Octopus for my energy. Not sure if it’s a scam or legit, but since Octopus is a big supplier, it could be an obvious target if that’s who you use. I told him I was busy and didn’t want to chat. He asked when would be a good time to call again, and I said tomorrow. Saw some reviews afterwards and it’s made me a bit wary now.

He claimed to be from TalkTalk, but it felt way too much like a spam call - asking questions just to get you to say “yes”. No offence, but his accent was quite strong and didn’t sound very local. I told him it wasn’t a good time and that TalkTalk could just send me a letter or an email instead.

My phone went off, rang for about 4 times then just stopped. About 5 mins later it rang again and this time it stopped after 5 rings. Spoke to support the day before, so maybe it was them. If they’re not even gonna leave a message, then I’m not gonna bother picking up... one more call like that and it’s getting blocked.

Received four calls at 4:59 PM UK time, but each time the line just went dead. I haven't attempted to call the number back or verify it with Talk Talk. I've been a loyal customer for nearly 16 years, even when they acquired my previous providers, but I’ll soon be seeking other options. Just a word of caution to others - always reach out to Talk Talk through their official channels to confirm any strange numbers you encounter.
